OK- all you nutritionist and personal trainer experts out there- I need your advice. I am currently on a 1400 cal/day . I am consistently 5-6 days per week under that calorie goal. I also exercise 5-7 days per week by walking, doing kickboxing or doing aerobics for about 30 mins per day. I use a HRM to calculate my calories burned. However, my weight has not changed in the last 3 weeks. WHY????? Do I need to eat less calories or more???? Do I need to exercise more?????

I don't think anyone here can give you an exact answer, there is not enough information availble
But one thing to keep in mind is that weight loss is not linear and you can retain water weight0 -
Agreed that it's hard to give an answer without knowing more information. You've already lost 42 pounds so obviously what you're doing has been working. Remember that as you get closer to your ideal weight, you won't lose weight as easily as you did 40 or even 20 pounds ago.
Make sure your caloric needs have been accurately recalculated for your current weight. I doubt you're eating too much, though. 1,400 calories is not very much.
I don't think you need to exercise more, but maybe look at the intensity of your workouts. If you can, increase the intensity so you're pushing yourself a little harder. Instead of just walking for 30 minutes, do high intensity interval training (HIIT) where you walk for a minute, walk fast for a minute, jog for a minute, then run for a minute. Do 5 intervals... on the last one, push yourself as hard as you can. Try it and see how different you feel after 30 minutes vs just walking. Also increase the intensity of your kickboxing and aerobics if you can.
I also like the idea of lifting to build muscle and help you lose fat. Of course, if you do that you might not see the scale move because you're gaining muscle... but you'll definitely see your measurements change as you firm up and slim down.
Hope all that helps!0 -

What he said.
Water weight is often a reason especially when you start or increase exercise.
The scale is not the most accurate reflection of progress0 -
keep being consistent and find out. 3 weeks is a blip in a lifetime.0

Weights a couple times a week shouldn't stall you too much as long as you keep the cardio up. I'm finding 2x a week works for me if I do cardio 5-7x a week. If I cut back on cardio, then I notice a stall.0

Based on the amount you workout, you probably need to eat more. But if you post your height and weight, we can run some numbers. Also, you shouldn't be working out 7 days a week. Your body needs to repair itself. Additionally, you should look to cut some of the cardio and start weight training.0

OK--- so I am 5'2" and currently weigh 153lbs. I work out so that I have extra calories to eat plus I feel guilty if I don't. Thanks for the input. It is greatly appreciated.0
