Eating the same thing?

Is it bad to eat the same things everyday? Just curious. I wouldn't do the exact same thing, and I'd add a little variety every once in a while. What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages?

Advantages: easier to plan your macros, easier to grocery shop, it becomes a set routine
Disadvantages: it can get boring, if you're diet isn't well balanced as far as macros and micros you can become deficient in one of them
I eat basically the same thing everyday. I have my set foods that I eat every day, with just over 200 calories that can vary. This is where my fruits and vegetables come in. I might want an apple one day, but blueberries the next day. I have a little bit of variety, but not much.0 -
I eat the same thing every night before bed, and sometimes wake up and eat it too. Also, sometimes during the day and whenever I finish cleaning. I enjoy it too.
Chicken, pistachios, broccoli. Erry day son, erry. dern. day.

As long as you are monitoring your nutrition this would most likely be okay but a bit on the boring side. My breakfasts are all very similar, either a green smoothie where I switch up the fruit or a bowl of cereal. I do eat the same thing for lunch everyday - garden salad, 2 tbls. Lite Italian dressing, one apple - after 10 months I still am not sick of it; once in a while I add something to the salad (like raisins, cranberries, chicken, etc.). Dinner is where I vary things every day (unless of course we are having leftovers). I would also suggest taking a multi-vitamin each day and discussing your chosen diet with your physician to get their prospective on its healthiness.0

I pretty well eat the same thing everyday. I don't find I get bored of it - but I do switch up breakfast a lot.0

It guess it would be okay as long as you are eating varied nutrients, otherwise you could end up malnourished in some way. People are creatures of habit so they end up eating 'generally' the same things. I try to eat based on what is in season, so I end up eating variations of the same things for months at a time, but I try to work in variety and cover gaps with a multivitamin.0

My husband & I eat basically the same breakfast each day ..... and we batchcook stews, soups & chili ...... some is portioned out for dinner, some iss headed to the freezer ....... then we have leftovers for lunch ...... it's so much easier to plan & foodshop this way.
Then, when we do go out to eat, we order something totally different as a treat :drinker:0 -
I've heard of some who love it and others who don't. I don't necessarily eat the same thing every day, but I do have days that I do certain things....Monday's are weigh-in days. I weigh in, then pickup Chinese on my way back to the office. Wednesdays or Friday's, I typically like to go to a steakhouse. There are some other Mexican and/or vietnamese places or even steak-n-shake that I might go to on the other days.
So there is some "familiarity", but others have said they like having the same thing everyday - it helps them know what they're doing.
It's all about finding what works for you.
For what it's worth- and good luck!0
