need ideas

ok i first I don't eat meat.
I am having a girlfriend over tomorrow night for a food and movies night. i am trying to figure out what to make.

she watches what she eats and works out. However she is a meat eater and already said to me no tofu please!

she will be coming over around 6pm. I get home around 4:30pm and would like to get my hour workout in. (so that would be 5:30pm)

is there something good that we will both like that is really really fast to make, or even better that i van put in the crockpot in the morning?

Please help!

  • My father-n-law lives with my fiance and I, and he is a vegan diabetic. Basically he is a diabetic and has psorosis of the liver and he can't eat meat. One thing that I love to fix him for dinner (so that I can eat it too) is Boca burgers. They come in many different flavors and I think they are delicious. I'm not the biggest healthy food person, so I'm not sure how healthy they truly are, but I love them and they are tasty!

    Pizza goes great with movies...I get the whole wheat boboli shell (spelling?) and then you can either make 2 ...one veg and one with pepporini on it both with low calorie pizza sauce and low cal cheese or you can get the large one and just do half and half on pizza. I should take 30 minutes since the shell is pre cooked ...have fun.

    What about making a chili in your slow cooker using veggie meat (ex. Yves ground round) instead of meat).

    A website I like using for recipes is recipezaar.com. If you want to find certain recipes go to the site, select recipes at the top of the web page, then you'll see something that says "open the recipe sifter tool" in a green rectangle. Click there and then you can narrow down your search - for example vegetaarion and crockpot and then hit show recipes. From there you can narrow it down by ingredients you want to include or exclude, nutrition or categories - just select filter by category, ingredient, category. This is by far my favorite recipe website!!
