Terminator.

I love this movie but its memory (I feel) has been defiled with the million reincarnations Hollywood has made trying to make a buck off the name.

What original (or even first sequel) movie do you feel has been stretched beyond what it should have been?

    Matrix

    Alien(s)

I've never seen any of the Alien movies, but it's definitely on my "to watch" list.

Matrix never was my thing, saw the first one and was like, eh.

I don't like any of the Disney movie sequels, particularly Aladdin and The Little Mermaid sequels. Yes, I realize that sounds pretty juvenile :-)

If you do get to the Alien films, stop at the second one (Aliens). The rest were terribad.

That's how I feel about Terminator. The sequel was almost up to par with the original, save for some bad dialog.

The Blues Brothers Verses The Blues Brothers 2000

The "Borne" series stayed pretty good although I have not seen the latest one yet.

Also, the "Rambo" movies stayed pretty good.

The Lost Boys. They should have stopped at the first one. I heard they made two more, which I refuse to watch because it will more than likely taint my love for the original.

The Swedish versions of Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (all three)
Though Daniel Craig's version was good.

Who wants to see a 60 year old rocky? Sorry, not me.

The first Jaws was amazing...after that, not so much.

It was the original movie of its type. The movie (another original, remade into teen crap) Piranha (1978) came out a few years later, trying to capitalize on the Jaws fans.
