Jogging in place?

Has anyone tried jogging in place at home? I used to have a WII fit but it didn't seem to do much for me. I can't afford the treadmill I'd love to have, so I'm wondering about jogging in place at home while I watch movies. Think it would be beneficial? I can't jog outside because I have Achilles' tendinitis and the pavement really does a number on my ankle pain. Anyone who has tried this and seen results?

I think it is better than nothing, you might try a walking video, though. Good Luck! :)

I love my mini trampoline for jogging in place; it is easy on my knees as it would be your injured tendon. I picked up mine a year ago for under $40. I move it under the ceiling fan or in front of the tv or even outside when weather permits. I used it 4-5 times a week to lose weight but it didn't do the trick, so I found myself here counting calories. The benefit it did have that prevents me from giving it up is noticing the strength I have gained in my legs and core muscles! I play fast paced music and really work up a sweat!
