Boobs and goal weight?

Has anyone had to readjust their goal to account for breast size? Even at my absolute smallest, I was a small D (or if I wanted lots of perk, a very big C). Lots of women look different at the goal weight I want to be at and I'm wondering how much breast size has to do with it. I know enough to know that I'll never be smaller than a big C - that's just genetics. And I always joke that half of my weight always lands in my tits.
(Speaking as of, how much DO boobs weigh, just out of curiosity?)
I know I'm not the only short gal with large breasts that can't be made much smaller, so I'm wondering about other people's experiences with it.

flop them on a scale and see!
it obviously varies from person to person so there is no number anybody can tell you.
I can instantly tell the weight of breasts just by holding them. Its a service I offer without charge but I havent got many customers.0 -
I miss my DD boobs from when I was heavier :brokenheart:
I've reached my goal weight and am now an official member of the itty bitty titties club
However, I'm sure that if you are naturally large breasted, you will look slimmer at a higher weight.0 -
You are right, but with me I can't go much less than I weigh now (135) because my boobs were already small to bgin with and they're shrinking more as I'm losing weight I'm 5'7 btw
So don't worry0 -
It's taken me losing almost 50lbs and 35inches for my boobs to go away a little... I'm down to a D-cup (from DD almost DDD!) & I hope they don't go away anymore. I like having my big boobs! haha!0

Even large breasts don't weigh all that much. But other than that, I'm not really sure what your question is.
I'm 5'3" and my breasts are D to DD (depending on the bra) no matter my weight. I've been 110-115 with no problem. I have a smallish frame.0 -

whilst we are on the subject, since losing weight mine feel harder if u know what i mean???? anyone else's? :ohwell:0

Yep. The Wife's are definitely firmer and perkier when she looses weight and does a bit of exercise.
Mine aren't as saggy as they were either...0 -
LOL to the posits of weighing my breasts! That makes me crack up! (Humor is so important to these things!) I think I did put them on the scale once, clocked in around 5 pounds per, which was a little scary.
I like having my D's, it's just that I'm at DD's right now (and if I'm honest, probably pushing DDD's) and wondering how that's going to affect my goal weight. I know they will get smaller, I'm just wondering if there will be a limit to the weight loss because of permanently large breasts.0 -
One more reason why the inches and the mirror are more important the scale.0

I think I see what you're saying--I would focus more on inches/pictures/clothes fitting/how you feel/body recomposition (that's a bunch of slashes, sorry!) then.
If you're prone to carrying weight in your breasts, even when thinner, yeah... your boobs really could weigh a good 5-8lb each. So instead of worrying about the number on the scale, focus on lifting heavy, incorporating cardio, etc. In other words, doing things that will help drop body fat.
Which may end up dropping more off your boobs than you anticipate... resulting in a lower weight reached than you thought!
Either way--ditch the scale! You might get unhappy with then number, even if you're happy with the mirror, and we want you to just be happy!0 -
My sister had a breast reduction done last year because they were causing back pain.. She went from an H cup to a D and the doctor removed around 7.5 lbs from each.0

I've lost 50lbs now, and haven't gone down any cup sizes - am still a G cup. I don't know the answer to your problem, but when i was smaller (a size 12) I still had E up boobs so i think if you are naturally large breasted it won't change. i've heard it's a lb for every cup size per boob, so a g cup breast would weigh about 7lbs, 14 for the pair. Though i haven't tested this.0

I worry about mine - 65lb and only maybe 1/2-1 cups size (DD to D) but the number has gone down twice and I probably need to be re-fitted cause I have no idea.
My biggest issue is they are..... saggy? :grumble: Hubbs says they are still a "handful" but I am annoyed.0 -
My boobs haven't shrunk at all (well, noticeably anyway) and it could maybe have something to do with the fact that working chest muscles has caused them to be perkier which means they don't look any smaller Thank goodness they haven't shrunk, I'm only just a comfortable B (ie. some B's are too big but an A is mostly too small)0

So, is the question, "Would you adjust your goal weight to save your breasts?"
Or is it, "Should your goal weight be higher to account for larger breasts?"
My answer to the first would be: I'm a solid D/DD, and I hate them, frankly. I've been informed that mine are fabulous (though I really hope not my best feature). And I guess I can see the point. They're surprisingly "perky" for their size. However, I've always just thought they were gross. From the time I started getting them as a kid, I just wanted them to go away. So no, I would most definitely not adjust my target weight to maintain larger breasts.
To the other question: I don't think your breast size would significantly effect your target weight just because they're naturally heavier or lighter than somebody else's. First, your target weight is largely arbitrary, and any one person should be shooting for a target zone, rather than a specific weight (i.e. 115 - 135). Any adjustment for breast size wouldn't be notable in the scheme of things, anyway. Second, a person who tends to have larger breasts also tends to be smaller in other places. That isn't true for 100% of the population, but usually, a person who obviously carries weight in one area (such as the breasts, stomach, thighs, etc.), typically carries less weight elsewhere. I would think that would even things out overall.0
