Quiting diet soda

I don't want to step into controversial territory; I know how much some people love their diet soda. I am/was one of them. After having trouble sticking to my diet, I gave up diet soda a week ago. My change in appetite has been very surprising! I'm not hungry all of the time anymore. That said, I did consume a lot of diet soda (2+ litres per day of non-caffienated soda). So, in my case, the claim that diet soda increases appetite seems to be true. In any case, this was surprising to me and I thought I would pass it along.

I noticed that the meals that I had a diet caffeine-free soda with were much less satiating than ones where I just drank water. Once I realized that it was pretty easy to give them up! That being said, sometimes you just want a soda so I go with it when the urge strikes.0
