Made cookies yesterday...

I made 2 dozen pumpkin spice cookies yesterday with a homemade cream cheese icing. Now I'm tempted to throw them out just so I won't eat them all. What have I done? I ate three of them yesterday, 2 of them so far today and feel so guilty. And Thanksgiving will only make it worse. Why must food be delicious? You'd think I'd be better at saying no to food at this point but I'm still a sucker for certain treats.

I always do this. I tend to overeat when I make treats, especially when I cook them. Or making pillsbury cinnamon rolls. I usually open the package now and make two at a time. One for me, one for my husband (to prevent myself from going crazy on all 8). Did you make the cookies for thanksgiving? I would have kept the dough frozen and only made a few at a time. But I say enjoy the cookies
One day and a few cookies aren't going to undo all your hard work

No, I didn't really make them for thanksgiving. I kinda made them for us to have something at the house for ourselves since we're bringing desserts to thanksgiving for everybody else. I just got into the 170s and I just don't wanna get bumped back to the 180s again. >.<0 -

Buy 2 sheets of plexiglass, put the cookies face up on one and fill the surrounding spaces with caulking or glue. Place the other sheet on top (careful not to mess up the icing!) Take some finishing wood and cut it to fit the outside edges and make a nice finished border. Next, take 2x4 and make a box (be sure to stain the wood!) for the bottom of the glass table top - then viola! You have a glass coffee table with REAL cookies in it! They will be preserved forever and you can look at them and laugh because you are thin and they will BE FOREVER FATTENING.
Or, exercise, track your calories, eat a little less at supper to make room for them in your calorie goals, or hell just eat them and workout. They are good yes? Then why let them have so much stress on you? Food is supposed to be fun! You wont get fat off of them, have fun man dont stress!0 -

I blame evolution0 -
Wrap them up in cute little baggies and give them to people. That's what I do when I have extra cupcakes from catering an event.0

I often bake cakes and cookies for my husband that I don't intend to eat many of myself.
I just plug the recipe into MFP to see how many calories are in each cookie or slice of cake so I know what I have to work with if I want to eat any. I often have room for something at the end of the day and by not depriving myself sometimes I don't even feel like I have to have them just because they're there.0 -

Depriving yourself of things you love won't get you skinny, and neither will guilt. You ate them, and enjoyed them, now move on. It's totally ok to splurge now and then, the key is that you recognize it's not the best choice, so you make yourself stop. Go for a walk and remind yourself that looking good feels way better than any cookie! You go girl!0

also, why bother to make them if you're not going to eat them? seems like you're setting yourself up to fail on that front0

Do you have some neighbors or co-workers or something? Don't let them go to waste. Give them to someone who will appreciate the gesture.0 -

Yeah but they don't look good enough to give to other people...I kinda screwed up the icing. My Grammy said she'll eat them as she's never counted a calorie in her life and has no intention of starting anytime soon. Problem solved!0 -

Because I was bored and needed something to do. Not the best reason but that's the truth. XD0 -
Every time I bake, I feed 80% of the batch to my boyfriend or bring it over to my sister/niece and nephew. Give it away!0

I baked cookies this weekend. I made about 5 dozen, and then took 4 dozen to work with me yesterday. I love baking, especially at this time of year. So I just share my fun with everyone else and it keeps me from eating them. Although I will admit, I had about 6 since sunday.0

I dont bake often but if I do I eat a few then give the rest to family or co workers0
