Carbs per day?

How many carbs per day should I be eating? I'm not sure what range I should be in for carbs each day. My goal says 110 but I don't know where that number came from. Can anyone suggest where I should be?

    if you want to , you can look at my food diary...I am a type 2 diabetic and my doctor has me on a lower carb...low cal diet...it has worked great for me in the past...i eat somewhere between 20n and 30 grams a day of carbs,,I do the Atkins shakes for breakfast and then a lot of salads and chicken, tuna..fish...some steak and good fruits..blueberries about every day....and strawberries....

    i do try to stay away from breads and anything white..ie..rice potatoes bread sugars..

    i do eat whole grain bread from time to time...

    so Im on the low carb plan..i love it..i dont get hungry and my blood sugar numbers are really good...remember i am trying to control diabetes..
    but its a great plan to lose....
