I have a friend we will call her N

She is 5'4 125 lbs bmi 26 bf% 27.8 works out a couple times a week if gluten free

I am 5'2 139lbs bmi 24.1 bf% 31.4 work out 1 hour a day plus run 25 miles a week I'm a vegetarian

I ask because n is always fomenting on how I shouldn't eat more than 1200 calz a day I eat 1850 because of my tdee. She comments on how I need to eat meat and how my diet has too many carbs (veggie for health reasons) its driving me batty. We have the same number of kids only big difference is she is 38 and I'm 26. So whos ultimately healthier?

I think once you get to a certain point there is no such thing as "healthier". You're both in healthy BMI ranges, good weights for your height, eat well, and work out. At this point you're comparing apples to oranges. Tell her to shut it because you're doing what is working for you.

Whoever can go on top the longest is obviously the healthier one. Or whoever can drop it lower :drinker:

Short of you both going in for a full physical and comparing blood work etc it's hard to say and in any case, it's not a competition - you're both doing positive things (is there a specific reason she's gluten free or did she just jump on the bandwagon?)

In all honesty who is healthier she has a lower weight, taller, and a lower BF% (she has a higher BMI because of her age bracket) so she would presumably be in better shape than you.. Your eating styles really don't have much to do with it as long as your both getting enough nutrition.. you both are medically healthy though to the charts I would presume.
