Changing is hard

Hello everyone,

I have to say I have not tried to lose weight. I kept my blindfolds on to my weight gain. Here I am 40 yrs old and weigh 183 pds. So I happen to come across this site and emailed my friend. She said, "Let's join". Here I am almost a week later and notice many changes. I notice what I eat and have to log it everyday or I forget what I ate. The one day my internet wasn't working I freaked out. Today, I mostly have been reading some of the stories that have been posted. I have to say the more I read the more impressed. Everyone is very supportative to each person they respond. Some give advice that may seem harsh. But it is not really harsh they are just trying to help you remove the blindfolds that I had as well. Needless to say I lost 1pd this week and will continue until I met my goal. I am very thankful to have found such a great site.

Changing is hard. But being overweight is also hard, and being unhealthy is really hard.

Change is hard. I have been here for a year and I was just thinking today about how much I have learned, how much I have changed, and I still have more changing to do.

Change is super hard....like the quote on my profile says...

" If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard...is what makes it great. - Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks, A league of their own) "
