Should I trust this calories burned number on my HRM?

I just received the Polar FT60 in the mail today and used it for the first time for level 2 of the 30 day shred. My calories burned for warmup, workout, and part of cool down was 183. I am a 130lb female, and I'd like to think I am fairly fit. However, I didn't expect to burn so many calories in one 30 day shred workout! I always thought I was burning 100-130 cals for these type of workouts.
What are your thoughts? If it helps to know, I don't sweat like crazy during this workout series, but I still sweat. Does my calories burned sound reasonable?
I know polar has a great reputation and is one of the best calories burned counters and HRMs out there, it just surprises me that I burned so much.
If what my polar watch is saying is accurate....then I can understand why my weight loss has been stalled. I'm underestimating my calories burned and therefore not eating enough, causing my body to go into starvation mode

My Polar RCX5 logged me burning ~1650 calories in a 1h22m epic squash session this last weekend. Highest number I have ever seen! Normal 5km jog / walks are around 600-700 cals for me.
I dont think 180+ is a high figure at all.

I don't think that's a high number at all. Actually, at my size (5'6, 145) I always guessed about 200-250 calories for 30DS. I think the best to do would be to check again tomorrow and see how it goes.
Have fun with the Polar!0 -
For me, 5ft 8, 149 pounds, MFP says 280 for half hour circuit training so that doesn't seem high to me0

I think it sounds reasonable. I did the same workout class on Saturday and Monday. I burned 461 and 480 according to my Polar HRM. I like to think it's pretty accurate.0

I burn 200 - 230 doing 30DS, depending on which weights I use and how much effort I (really) put in, according to my FT4.
Which, by the way, is half of that MFP's circuit training log was putting in for me.0 -
Thanks for the help guys! I'm gonna log what my polar is telling me. I'm just glad I found out I've been underestimating for a while...0
