    My first trip to New Orleans and first night on Bourbon Street I found this awesome blues bar hole in the wall place. Got rather drunk on JD and ended up doing a set with the band on stage. Was invited back for the next night as well.

    I won 2nd place in a talent contest at the local Relay for Life. I hung 6 spoons on my face. Yep, it was a proud moment!

    I know a lot of famous people like some MLB players and musicians but one of my favorite people that I've met us Rudy Ruettiger, (you know the movie, "Rudy") the guy who wanted so badly to play football for Notre Dame and never gave up! Another favorite is Matt Maher, a Christian singer and super nice guy!

    I was invited to try-out for the US Olympic Softball Team....2 weeks after I enlisted in the Army. :cry:

    Would the army not have allowed it?

    Not that I was aware of at that point. I was a young kid, had just signed my first contract and figured Uncle Sam owned me. My recruiter told me there was no way to do it (I later found out that may have been wrong), but as they say "everything happens" for a reason. At least I was in Basic Training while the Olympics were going on, so it wasn't in my face.

    It does! I spent quite a lot of time during the summer of 1997 memorizing the words to MMMBop (and all the non-words/syllables in the chorus) and every other song on that album. Being 12 years old was such a fun time!

    I met Hanson on a plane when I worked for AA and got an autographed picture for my girls. Major Mom points there!
