Ok, So I haven't been on here for long, maybe I just need to give it some time.... BUT... I'm seeing progress in my arms, legs, back, and upper abs but I have the ring of fat that sits under my belly button, goes round to my hips and also my back above my butt (we wont talk about my butt it needs work too) was wondering if anyone knows anything I can do to help shift the fat especially off my hips and towards the back (love handles lol)... im hoping leg lifts will help with lower abs, but im blaming some of the wobble there on my son :P
thanks
thanks

You can't spot reduce IMO, just continue to eat at a deficit and you'll get there. Weight lifting will help you preserve muscle while you lose.0

I have exactly the same problem... my sister jokes that my love handles are bigger than my flat butt. UGH! I would love to hear some tips!!0

You can keep bumping but the answer is already on the page. You can't spot reduce. Some parts are more difficult to budge than others.0

That's right! You can't target fat loss in one place of body. You simply need to keep losing overall weigh and once your body fat % goes low enough you will start to lose fat there as well. Just keep losing weigh and be patient. Only your body's genetics decide where fat comes off first and where last.0

this!
the bit under the belly button is usually last to go for us ladies, as it is fat protecting the ovaries.
just keep at it and be patient!0 -
Unfortunately I think its just part of being a woman, was the slowest part to start moving for me too. But keep on going and it will eventually start to reduce. Good luck0

She's a friend of mine, just trying to help her out, and if it gets a few more replies, all the much better. Thanks for the input!0 -
That's the last place fat comes off me too. It hangs on like it has claws. Lol. Nothing to do but get your overall fat down until you get there. You can do pilates which will make the underlying lower abdominal muscles stronger to pull the whole thing in and get a flatter look.0

Ditto, totally agree with the above statements but just to add my 2cents, muscle density burns calories/fat. Add resistance training into your exercise routine and you will start seeing your fat disappear. A good one that I love is the PLANK and the many variations to it, burns like heck! Feels great and burns fat.
You should try and do it for a whole minute0 -
Everybody has a "trouble spot" that is always the LAST place to lose weight from, even though it may be the first place you want to lose it, lol.
For me it's my inner thighs and backs of my thighs, just under the curve of my butt. I've lost a TON of weight everywhere else, but only the tiniest bit from my legs. Best thing to do is keep at it, and show your stupid trouble spot who's the more stubborn of the two, it or you!
You'll get there eventually, and in the meantime, rejoice over where you DID lose weight, and buy a few items of clothing that show off the new and improved parts of you!0 -
Hey i know what you mean, im trying to burn away that part as well, I have heard that that area is partly caused by carbs, and a mate of mine knocked it down by not eating any carbs after lunch time, and also doing a mix of cardio and core exercises0
