Black Friday

How early are you planning on going out to shop? Where are you going and what are you going to buy?

  • Going with my friend. Leaving between Midnight and 3am :/ I'm going to get out of my house for a bit. Have some Mommy time. I don't think I'm buying anything. Just going along.

I went about 12 years ago to Best Buy. I got there at 6 and one you get inside they make you wait on separate lines for things, and while on line they try and sell you more stuff. Never doing that again.

I am not going ANYWHERE for ANYTHING that day. I'll just take decent bargains throughout the year at my convenience and skip the crowds.

Lol being Canadian - I'm gonna check out the online deals!! We do have some Black Friday deals here now, specifically at the Eaton Centre (Toronto). It'll probably be a few more years until it catches on in other cities.

I love to go every year with my mom. We usually leave before midnight. Often times we go to a 9pm movie on turkey day and then head out shopping after that. It's a fun tradition for us more than anything. I haven't come across any more grumpy people than any other random day. I've actually met several fun people on BF!

This. Not much difference between a $99 tv regular price and $85 tv on "Black Friday" sale. Going out with the crazies is not worth $10-15 for me, thanks.

I will be sound asleep as long as possible and not going out at all.

It has been a tradition for us to go see Santa the day after Thanksgiving. Ironically, even though the malls are crowded, the line for Santa seems to be quite short. The only thing I'll buy that day is the gift certificate I need for one gift, if we go to the mall that has that store. The rest of my shopping is done.

We won't leave until my husband gets home from work, around 3 p.m. or so. (Yep, lots of people don't even get time off! And not just in retail).

While eveyone is out shopping I plan to be on the road driving home from Thanksgiving. Figure once I am out of the city the freeways should be smooth sailing.

I'm definitely not going anywhere except to the grocery store that day. Should be relatively empty since most people are gorging on leftovers.
