SOMEONE PLEASE be kind and post a link to this recipe- I've licked the screen and it's just not enough
Never mind, found it:

I think I'm going to get the recipe tattooed right on my forearm for easy access.0 -
Great to-the-point post. Thank you for this. You're awesome BTW. Congrats on losing the weight and keeping it off. :drinker:0

Love that advice! I needed to hear this as I'm already feeling guilty about what I may eat tomorrow . Like you said, it's all about balance and is only a couple days out of the year. I will no longer feel guilty and will enjoy what I'm going to eat for Thanksgiving. Have a great day!0

OMG.. I need to make a plate of those tomorrow!!! How awesome!0 -
I made the oreo cookies since they looked SO GOOD, but actually didn't taste as good as they looked! Won't bother me at all to say no thanks...I ate half and will let the rest of the family endulge!
Happy Thanksgiving! Turkey trot tomorrow am, 5 mile run to start off the day. Balance is KEY...stress is hard to control.0 -

Portion Control
Make Choices (eat what you really want but if it is just traditional and doesn't make your mouth sing, skip it)
Relax
Be Social (don't make the entire day about food, but do enjoy)
Exercise (maybe not on the day of but in prep and after)
Let it Go
Portion Control (bears repeating, you don't have to eat until you are beyond stuffed to enjoy it)0 -

Oh yes, oh god, oh baby. Holy food porn Batman.
Gonna eat and drink what I like tomorrow, and stop when I am full, and go for a nice fall hike afterward. And not gonna log food for the first time in months, and not gonna give a flying fig either.0 -
Thank you for putting the Holidays into perspective.0

Thank you all, seriously. I started eating healthy and was so afraid of how I would feel during thanksgiving but now I feel happy that it will be okay to just eat for one day.0

It's not the one day of Thanksgiving that is going to be my problem, it's the yummies for Christmas. (Besides, I'm Canadian and I already had my delicious turkey day). My concern is how to ration the boxes of chocolates I better get as gifts (and no, I am NEVER going to give away my chocolate Hedgehogs to anyone else!) And how I will walk past the platefuls of Chrismas baking the family is waiting for me to make without tasting most of them over and over and over and... (And Christmas baking cannot all be done in one day and then given away. The family comes from all over and won't be here while the baking is at it's yummy freshest)
Last year I (again) gained almost 10 lbs, and that isn't happening this year. But the will power it will take to manage that is going to be insane! Wish me luck.0
