100 day challenge.. ditch the number on the scale goals

After many tried and failed attempts at the whole you just have to do it, make the numbers go down attempt I decided to try something new.

The challenge to myself:
Be intentionally active for 20 minutes or more everyday for 100 days.
Intentionally active can be a walk, the gym, a run, ice skating, rock climbing, hiking, swimming (laps or for fun), snowboarding, it can be anything as long as it is something active!
I am always happier and feeling better when I am active. So I decided to ditch the number on the scale kind of goals and set up a goal to live a more active more happy lifestyle.

Today is day 11, it's sunny out and I cannot wait for my walk outside later!

So far I have a TON more energy, I feel better and because I know that I have been active I am more aware of what I am eating and track my calories with a lot less effort because I don't want to discount the activity I've been doing. It's been working for me and I feel so accomplished after I write the number on the calendar marking my success for the day.

Just thought I'd share the idea, it's been working for me!
