If you're not a vegetarian, then lean meats and fish. Chicken breast and tuna give great protein value for calories.

Cottage cheese and greek yoghurt are good dairy sources. So is most cheese, but usually at a high fat and/or sodium price.

Nuts aren't bad, but very high in fats.

Pulses and beans - edemame beans or soy beans are the best for protein. But these pack a bit of carbs too.

I aim to get my protein from a variety of sources: eggs or yoghurt for breakfast, cheese and nuts for snacks, beans with my lunches, and fish or meat for dinner.

This. And quinoa is a grain with a relatively high protein count if you want to be sneaky about adding additional protein grams. Try it with toasted chickpeas.
