General query - is the rule eating early actually aid in weight loss or is it a myth. What if you eat no/low carbs, fruits and veg late before going to bed... does that hinder weight loss ?

Myth. It doesn't matter what time you eat, it matters what and how much you eat...0

People tend to eat more junk food late at night, I think, thus the recommendation. Myth. How much you eat matters way more.0

Myth. It doesn't matter (for weight loss) what time you eat. It's a rule that works for some people because of the behavioural implications. Some people find that they mindlessly graze late on in the day, and giving themselves a cutoff time helps them not to do that. I eat the majority of my calories after about 7pm in my evening meal and evening snacks. I often snack right before bedtime, and that includes carbs. It hasn't hindered my weight loss at all.0
