Do Stolen calories count??
Some back story:
SO loves his stollen, I can take it or leave it normally.
This week at the supermarket he picked some up, got home and took a bite. Turns out it had "rum soaked raisins". As he doesn't consume alcohol it was up for grabs, so I had a slice. (I was really good and weighed it)
It was gooooood
Then I looked up the nutrition, 55g has 230 calories.
(I have never seen a smaller 230 calories)
http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=254949053
So my question is, if he can't eat said product do i need to count the calories?
The whole box is 2300 calories, so that is quite alot.

Definitely no need to count calories. That falls under the saving food from being thrown away rule and is therefore "free". It's kind of like eating the leftovers on your kids plate.
And that reminds me, I haven't had a good stollen in a while, I should go find some this year.0 -
Yea, definitely no calories in free food!
Which, err, I really should get some control over - Morrisons usually has 'samples' out if I go at the right time. Get it right and I'll pass one or two types of cheese or meat (has been olives recently - which I don't like), a pastry of some kind then something from the hot counter, closely followed by one or two cake samples, then some bread.
If I happen by chance to walk back that way to the till, err, it turns out I do have quite a lot of these no-calories!0
