Baseball Training

hey all. I play recreation ball every spring and this fall/winter i would like to dedicate myself to getting better on the field. Unfortunately i never played ball past little league so i have no idea what are the best drills/workouts to do. i would like to primarily focus on speed. i currently am doing mostly lower body workouts: squats, lunges, burpees among others and also i am running from home to 2nd like a simulated double. i do this at least 2x/week.

any ball players out there....HELP!!
