Is it weird I'm terrified to try Sushi?

I won't try any raw-fish ones. I've heard too many horror stories that began with raw meat or fish.

I do enjoy sushi with with cooked or fruit/veggie fillings.

You're probably not even getting real wasabi... It's probably just horseradish with green food coloring added.
I learned that watching Modern Marvels. Unless you are eating at some 5 star restaurant, the place you're at probably can't afford- read, you would be paying a ****load more for that sushi/sashimi- to serve you real wasabi (it's insanely expensive), so most places use horseradish and color it green and call it wasabi.

    I feel so....violated :noway:

...and yes OP it IS a challenge.

Off topic but slightly relevant: Here in South Korea I am constantly challenged by the "foreigners can't eat spicy food" myth (I swear literally EVERY RESTAURANT they warn me about the spiciness of the food...and its usually not even spicy!!!)...So I get everything extra spicy just to show em...

I've also eaten many many things I'd normally turn down....(e.g. pigs feet, chicken feet, pigs blood stew, blood sausage, stinky tofu soup, etc etc)
