Just curious...how long were you doing Insanity before you really started noticing a difference in your body?

Sometime during or after month 1 of workouts is where I saw some difference. I'll finish month 2 on Dec 1st. During this final month I've noticed some more definition. I plan on doing another round at the start of Jan and hope to see good results again.0

I didn't see that much difference after 2 months, even with a super clean diet. I was already pretty fit in terms of stamina, but I had hardly any muscle AND I wasn't eating enough which is why
I had much better results with P90X and eating 3000 clean calories (40% carbs, 40% protein, 20% fats) than Insanity and 2000 clean calories (40% carbs, 40% protein, 20% fats).0 -
Ok. Thanks for the input. I have plenty to lose so I hope it works for me. I can already tell a difference in endurance.0

I started seeing results after the first month. I did two rounds back to back and lost about 40 pounds. Your diet is key and if you are trying to lose weight, eat at a caloric deficit, but more importantly factor your exercise level with Insanity when calculating your TDEE, then DO NOT eat your calories back. Biggest problem I see people have when they complain that they are not losing with Insanity is they try to eat calories back, and actually end up eating too much. This is because there is no way to accurately measure calorie burn. MFP, HRM's, Fitbits, and all the other crap have one thing in common - they can not accurately measure your calorie burn. In fact, I would not log exercise at all into MFP. Focus only on caloric intake from food.
Now some one without a lot of weight to lose is going to quote my comment about not eating calories back and tell you I am wrong. By all means, listen to them, but before you post a thread complaining your scale isn't moving, remember what I said.
Good luck. Insanity is an awesome program with the potential of providing great results, just be careful who's advice you follow because someone trying to lose 50+ plus pounds will need to do things differently than the person trying to lose 15 pounds.0 -
Just an FYI - I have about 50 pounds to lose and I didn't see the scale move during the first month of Insanity. I was NOT eating back my exercise calories, although I did track them with my HRM. However, I did lose 2 pant sizes and started to feel a million times stronger. During the 2nd month, I lost about 7 pounds ---and it didn't have anything to do with miscalculating exercise calories like the previous poster said.
You just have to figure out what works for you and what your goals are and go for it!
To be clear, I am not complaining about my results. I felt AWESOME after it was done. I just didn't see the scale move much.0
