( My bad, posted in the wrong place!)
A friend of mine made this for me and I loved it so much that I'm making it for Thanksgiving. I thought I would share with my MFP friends.
Ingredients:
Pitted Dates
Cashews
Walnuts
Pecans
(Really any nut you like)
Vanilla Extract
Bananas
Mandarin Oranges
Raspberries
(Really any fruit you like!)
In a blender or chopper put 1 cup of each nut and blend until they are about half the size of a pea.
Mash or blend 2 bananas
Blend 6 pitted dates
Combine the delicious concoction in a bowl and add 2 tsp or pure vanilla extract.
When everything sticks together place it in pie pan, deep cookie sheet pan ect and flatten it out. Place in the frig until you're ready to eat it then just add your fruit on top! It's probably a good idea to let it set for a few hours so it doesn't fall apart.
12 servings of the one I made for tomorrow has roughly 290 calories. And I added pistachios and pomegranate to it.
It's really good. When my friend made it for me I had it for breakfast a few times and it really filled me up.
I'm a noob when it comes to this nutrition stuff, but I think it's relatively good for you? In comparisons to other sweets.
