it is an extreme way to eat. why are you doing it?
I am not telling you NOT to do it, but you need better information about it and what it does to your body then you will get from this forum.0 -
Search the groups, there is a low carb forum that might have some good advice for you As well as others that may be doing it.
I'm doing Atkins.0 -
I have. Love it. My body reacts really well to it. But not everyone does. I know people who felt miserable on it. It is NOT necessary to lose weight. Its drastic. I have health issues and it was recommended.0

I want to. I've been reading the literature on it. The only problem is that I can't eat a lot of the foods it recommends. I'd end up eating 3 things all day, every day and I know that's the way (for me) to blow a food plan in the long run.
Good luck! Keep us posted.0 -

I did it from May-Oct, and my husband started on it in January. He lost 50 lbs by the time I started which is one of the main reasons I switched to it.
I would not recommend it during the holidays. People not doing the diet will not understand the diet, they will not make things for the diet. It is very tough to eat with people not on the diet especially if they do the cooking.
That said I was extremely happy on the diet, but if you plan to do weight lifting it is very difficult to gain muscle while on the Keto Diet (but not impossible). Most of the weight I lost was while on the keto diet, I rarely felt hungry and would usually only eat 2 larger meals per day. I didn't even track my food for the first few months I was on it. I would say DO NOT start it without joining http://www.reddit.com/r/keto (they are extremely helpful and supportive) as well as reading http://www.reddit.com/help/faqs/keto0
