And who ran 3.5 miles in 52 minutes on the river trail today? This Chick. And I'm freaking excited. This I believe is a major NSV. In the last two years, I've spent 12 months time on crutches and unable to put weight on one leg or the other because of breaks and tendon tears (related to accidents, not fitness injuries). Many times during those times, I never thought I could run like a normal person. Heck, My chubby self never dreamed of running more than a mile just because I could.
I'm thankful today, for being able to use my body like I should.
This is one of many NSVs I've had in the last couple of months.
What are yours? How are you thankful today?

Oh goodness, I'm a bit sore already (kind of skimped on stretching after) but it is well worth it. Plus- Running that much means I can indulge a little bit more at thanksgiving dinner.0

This has been a long time coming for me. I just started running after my last injury. I only got serious about it in August. My goal is to run like this at least 3 times a week, and slowly increase the distance as I'm comfortable with it. My brother is a firefighter, and he regularly runs marathons. Some day, I want to run at least a half marathon by his side.
You can do it if you put your mind to it....your body is a lot stronger than you think it is, just work your way there.Good luck hun!
