treat yourself?

I've been dieting non stop for over 5 weeks now without a single treat. I'd love a cookie or a chocolate bar but I'm worried I'll feel too guilty afterwards, does anyone else feel like this?
Is there anything you'd suggest?

No, I eat what I want, when I want as long as it fits within my health and fitness goals, any other way isn't sustainable for the rest of my life. This isn't a diet, it is seeing food and fitness differently.0

I always allow myself a treat (usually 1-2 squares of good quality dark chocolate/day). I fit it into my calories for the day and having a little and being satisfied by it keeps me from binging. Healthy eating is my lifestyle, not dieting.0

I'd suggest eating a cookie and enjoying it.0

You can have treats...just plan for them. And having a treat in moderation now and again will keep you satisfied and help prevent a binge later.

I treat myself everyday. I find that if I deny myself something for too long, I will lose hope with becoming healthier. It'll just make me want to give up because it will make me feel like I will NEVER be able to enjoy whatever it is that I'm wanting. I make sure I have room for it and go for it.0

I treat myself everyday with ice cream. Today, I even made room for pie as well as my usual ice cream.0

Wen you start feeling guilty about food that's when you want to give up. Food is fuel and it gives you energy. Try and think more positively about food because that will help you to enjoy this process. All the best in your journey and feel free to add me if you would like some positivity.
Once a week I have an "I don't care day", where I eat and drink what the heck I like and alcohol is now once a week. I never deny myself any more, I just cut things down one at a time.0 -

^^This^^ while you're having whatever treat it is, take the time to enjoy it... it helps with feeling satisfied. AND do not feel guilty about rewarding yourself for the hard work you've done!!0 -
It depends on what it is. If it is one of your trigger foods, and you know one will lead to two will lead to a whole box, then it is better to not eat the first one. If you know that you can eat one or two and be satisfied, then go for it.0
