Has losing weight improved other areas of your life too?

I get laid waaaaaay more often.
like at wall mart?
God no!! We just messed around there. I have self-respect! K-mart, however, is a much classier place.

Still lacking in the girl department. I'm guessing a guy has to have a six pack before he gets a look.
Dude.....I've seen several posts from you just today along this same line of thinking.
It's not your looks, it's your piss poor attitude.0 -
I didnt date for 7 years, now I like walking around naked if I can feel your eyes on me from the bed.
I don't blame you, you're looking fabulous!0 -

One of the sexiest things in a man is confidence, I love a bit of cheeky charm.0 -
I had sleep apnea and now it's gone. Getting rid of the mask is a big relief. I definitely feel better all around and have tons of energy. Still lacking in the girl department. I'm guessing a guy has to have a six pack before he gets a look.0

Lot's of changes with 50+ pounds gone and 20+ still to go.
-End of snoring, which often resulted in either my wife of I in the guest room so she could sleep
-Physical abilities I thought had left me for good, that I blamed on age, for example, I had last week off from work, during that time I biked 337 miles, hit the gym 5 times and took my dogs for runs, not walks
-Increased the size of my bathroom, by not avoiding the 1/2 that had the mirror
-My wife and I went in on this together and we know there are people who photograph well and those who don't. Both of us are part of the second group and so while a picture of my may not show it, it is weird how people flirt with either of us when we're not together. Would never do anything about it, but it's good for the ego.0 -

I've seen enough of you on this board to tell you emphatically and with complete and total certainty that your lack of a six-pack is not the reason you aren't getting laid. Or the reason women don't want to talk to you.0 -
Only 25 pounds down and still 48 more to go, but the changes have been phenomenal in only 3 months.
My cardio health has improved greatly. I don't get winded taking a shower anymore.
My resting HR has dropped 5-10 BPM. I got my max HR up to 150 yesterday without even realizing it!
I can ride my indoor bike for over an hour. I am now riding my outdoor recumbent trike and rode 4.25 miles yesterday, up and down hills.
My leg muscles are getting ripped! And that is at a 750-1000 daily calorie deficit! (Yes, you can build muscle and lose fat at the same time!)
My moods have leveled out. I am so positive these days.
I have lost about 5 inches off my waist, and can now wear my 'skinny' jeans without a muffin top!
I sleep so much better, and have so much more energy.
And best of all, I walk around naked in front of my husband. With the lights ON! And don't feel gross doing it.
He's lost 10 pounds in the process too, so, yeah, nuff said!
I cannot imagine how much greater it is going to be in 3 more months with another 20 pounds or more gone, but I sure am motivated to find out!
You can do it! It takes perseverance, but we can get there!0 -

Flirt a day keeps the doctor away, that's my motto anyhooo..0 -
-Definitely noticed more energy. I stepped out of the vicious circle of being too lazy to get off my butt and walk across the room to get something. Now I bounce up to do dozens of things anytime.
-I also have more confidence in myself and my abilities. (Still working on that, though, but it's coming.) I rode 100 miles on my bike this summer in one day, something I never would have imagined I could do. I also discovered that I CAN run. I have never been able to, always got a stitch in my side. Now I can run as long as I want (usually not more than 45 min, lol) and nothing happens.
-LOVE walking past a mirror and looking at the slender woman I see there!
-And in the garden now, I'm stronger and it's just so much more fun when it doesn't hurt.
-I run up the stairs at home again0 -
I became a king!!
Have more energy!!
More respect from people who like to workout!!
Yes!! I like to get my Freak on!!!0 -

Does a guy need a six pack to catch my eye? No.
Does he have to be an epic human to be granted an ounce of my attention?
Damn straight.0 -

Cal: Listen, when I was growing pot, I realized that the more seeds I planted, the more pot I could ultimately smoke.
Andy Stitzer: I think I've got all the advice I can handle right now.
Cal: Don't get bitter.
Andy Stitzer: I'm not getting bitter. I almost lost a nipple, okay?
Cal: That was Jay's idea, and I wasn't going to say anything, but waxing your chest is the gayest thing you could possibly do. Look at me: looks are not important. *Really* look at me. I am ugly as **** by traditional standards, but, I get with women. Aren't you curious as to how that's possible?
Andy Stitzer: I am not ugly as ****.
Cal: I didn't say you were ugly as ****.
Andy Stitzer: Well, you implied it.
Cal: Okay, okay, it doesn't matter if you're ugly as ****, or you're ugly as ****. It's about *talking* to women, and I know how to do that because I observe, because I am a novelist.
Andy Stitzer: What? You never told me that before.
Cal: That's because I'm not an arrogant prick, Andy.0 -
Losing weight didn't help my life, but building muscle sure did. My hormones are more even when I've done some strength training.0

to be honest completely, I have a better life, a better job, a better group of friends, a better outlook and a better future. And all of those things are getting better every day, cause Im getting more and more awesome everyday.

I am actually letting my hair grow a little. Kept a tight crew cut for over a decade. But I'm finally do9ing something for my wife. She likes it longer.
Definitely have more "nocturnal" energy. :bigsmile:0 -

You rode 100 miles in one day? Awesome! That wouldn't have been the Hotter N Hell Hundred in Wichita Falls, TX, would it?0 -
Absolutely! And I never even thought about the other benefits until I started experiencing them.
*Like yourself, my cooking has gotten a lot better. My fiance is definitely thankful for that!
*Because of my weight loss, I have fallen in love with Yoga and am now going about become a certified yoga instructor.
*My fiance is a minor league baseball player and in the summer, I will be joining his leisure co-ed team. I hated sports before(but I think that was because I could barely participate) now we can be active together
And the non physical benefits like being happier, laughing more. I was perfectly okay with sitting in all the time. Now I love going out and being a social butterfly!
That is quite the amazing success story you have there! You lost half yourself! You look awesome.0 -
@DebbieLyn
No, I live on Vancouver Island in Canada. My friend and I had recently finished my 3rd 240k charity ride that I've been doing, (It's over 2 days so 120k each day), and were looking for another excuse to get on our bikes all day. This seemed like a good challenge, it is about 160k. And it was fun! I still can't believe I can cycle that far! What a great feeling.0 -
Hubby and I have lost a combined 43 pounds....I notice the bed seems to be a bigger playground now lol0

I don't snore anymore!0

I am so looking forward to that and to getting off BP meds.
So far I've discovered I really enjoy exercise. Who knew?
I'm going out and about more now that I'm not worried I'll get too tired or sore.0 -

Neither do I. Altho my hubby referred to it as 'sleeping heavy'. Nice for neither of us to wake each other up with it anymore!0 -
Honestly it has changed everything. It has made me believe in myself, given me self respect and made me better at every other aspect of my life. Because I did it myself, and thats pretty awesome.0
