How Often Do You Weigh?

Once a week, first thing when you wake up (after the bathroom, of course), naked. That is the least you will weigh. Worst time, in the evening after a big meal. lol0

I am trying to bulk, and I know that I should be hitting about a kg or 1 and 1/2 kg ever 2 weeks... so I try every two weeks, also , i hate small progress so seeing my weight go up by a small 0.5 kg or something would frustrate me. also make sure you weigh yourself in the same condition, example, I do it every 2 weeks before any gym is done that day, after I have gone to the bathroom and in my jocks only, to ensure my shoes or shirt w/e doesnt add any weight and give me more hope0

I weigh every morning. I have found that when I stop doing that, I tend to gain weight. I expect small fluctuations and when the number goes up, I tweak my diet or exercise for the day to try to bring it down. Sodium is usually the culprit, in my case.0

I weigh every day because my weight is all over the place. It helped me understand fluctuation and how to not depend on the scale.
I typically only record my weight ever two weeks.

Daily, with the understanding that some days the scale will be up a few pounds after really hard workouts or eating salty foods. I gained weight by avoiding the scale, and have lost weight by staying on top of it.
Oh, and always weigh at the same time of day under the same circumstances. I don't weigh when I'm traveling for that reason--no scale in the bathroom so can't weigh naked. And I don't always get up as early on vacation anyway.0 -
Should we rename this thread, "How often do you take any notice of what the scales tell you?"0

I weigh daily, in the morning. I have WiFi scales so it gets recorded automatically. The data then gets automatically pulled into https://trendweight.com/dashboard/ that uses some mathematical formula to smooth out the variations so I can see the overall trend. I like data :-)0

I think this depends on how you will react to the number.
I recently switch from once a week to once a day in the early morning. At first a bump up of a pound or two was quite disheartening. Now I know a few pound swing up or down is normal. I am finding weighing everyday helps me to keep on track better.0 -
I do it once a week but have been known to do it on other days depends on how I feel but always weigh first thing in morning when you wake up0

I weigh in once a week, in the morning before eating or drinking anything. I weigh myself daily, I just don't log it daily. And if I waited more than a week to log my weight I'd get too many ants in my pants lol.0

Daily for me as well (for now). First thing in the morning after the bathroom. However, the daily fluctuations don't bother me. If it's down, awesome. If it's up, it's merely a reminder to keep at it. I also record daily and look at the fluctuations over a long period of time. As long as the hills and valleys are showing a downward trend, I don't worry about a bad day or three. Once I get to goal weight, then the scale will mean less and the measurements will tell me if I'm headed where I ultimately want to be - i.e., building more muscle mass which won't show up on the scale (at least not in a lower number). My suggestion is do whatever method will keep you inspired on your journey. We're each a little diffferent in what motivates. For me, it's the scale numbers at the moment and the fact that although I've already replaced a large portion of my wardrobe (doubled over suit pants cinched with a belt don't look all that professional), I will get to do it again once I hit goal. Best of luck to you.0

I weigh in daily, but only record once per week (usually Sundays, Monday if I forget). I know to expect fluctuations, but it helps me to know if my "weigh in" weight is accurate or just a low vs. high "blip." Plus, I find when I avoid the scale... there is a reason. Usually because I know it won't look pretty.
I just take the natural fluctuations in stride and don't let an extra .5 on the scale ruin my whole day.0 -
As much as I hate to say this, I am getting addicted to the scale and i think my husband needs to hide it from me! When I first started, I would only weigh in bi weekly (every other friday) I did this so I wouldn't get discouraged if I didnt see much change. As the weight started coming off, I started weekly weigh ins. Now, I get on the scale every day and I shouldn't. I have started intensifying my strength training, and I know that means that the scale is going to slow down. But part of me still has that psychological scale addiction ?! I'm trying to rely more now on my measurements (which I do once a month) than the scale.0

Weigh every morning, tape measure every Wednesday, body fat measured every 2nd week.0
