Howdy! You're still a baby! You are smart to start this journey now instead of waiting until your body goes thru big changes, so kudos to you!

I see you have MS and optic neuritis. Do medications that you take for these conditions cause you to gain weight? With the MS are you going to be doing any physical therapy or do you have to make sure you modify any workouts you do because of MS? I have a friend who was diagnosed when he was 27 and he has not been proactive about his health at all and it has deteriorated quickly. He is very wreckless though and not concerned with being comfortable at all.
What are you studying in school, what do you do for your part time job??

My boyfriend is Korean and Caucasian, where is your family from?

Welcome to MFP! Your post title caught my eye, as my daughter is a big Pokemon fan and does quite a bit of anime art (she'll be 18 next March). Best wishes with your goals, you can do it! :)

Your daughter sounds like the typical person in my circle of friends haha In a way, I became an art student because of my love for anime originally. Thanks a lot!

I actually still need to see a neurologist about my MS (the earliest appointment they had was December :\), so I haven't really had details filled in yet about what to change about my lifestyle. The only symptom I've had is the optic neuritis, which left me really disoriented and essentially handicapped for a couple of weeks. My eyesight isn't back to normal completely, but I can function again, so I'm happy. I'm a fashion design student trying to finish her thesis (I say trying because I had to drop out this semester since my diagnosis a few weeks ago). I work at a fabric store, though I'm trying to get a better job. Lucky we're catching it so early (yeah I am really young)- it ups my chances of leading a totally normal life and improving my health via diet and exercise will only help, right? :D
