1 month in, no weight lost :(

I weighed myself today after 1 month of following my calorie count, and I weight exactly the same. But I feel like some of my clothes fit better and like I have lost some weight.

  • You probably gained muscle and lost fat. Since muscle is more dense than fat, it weighs more. IF your clothes are looser, than that is great!

Have you been doing any strength training or other form of exercise?

You may not have done this at the beginning, but now would be a good time to take pictures and measurements. Take a picture from the front and side, and measure your chest, waist, hips, thighs, neck, and forearm. When the scale doesn't show your progress, the pictures or measurements should. I listed those particular measurements, since that should be everything you need to calculate BF% and body type. If none of these show any difference, you may need to reevaluate what you are actually eating and how much you are actually exercising. A food scale and an HRM are tools that help you do better estimations of these things.
  • I had a similar problem. I think when you have under 10kg to lose it is harder to get it to move. After 5 weeks of graft, the scales have finally started to budge (I did lose some cm - important to measure so you have more than one way to celebrate progress). What changed? The week the weight moved was the 7 days off the hormone pill and I was eating MORE.
