Looking for a generic 'Fiber One original'

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but seemed appropriate. I'm looking for a generic version of "Fiber One - Original". I like the taste, but here in NY, it is like $6 a box, which is way more than cereal should cost. I did try it when on sale for less than half the cost and it was quite tasty.

I'm hoping someone may have a similar cereal in terms of taste and nutrition (specifically fiber) for less than $3 per box.

Any help is appreciated.

I know you are talking about cereal, but the Fiber One bars that they have do come in a generic brand. I've seen Walmart carry generic Fiber One bars, and so does my grocery store (Giant Eagle). Same nutrition information and same great taste.

Are you near one of the NY Wegman's? They make a store brand that is great!

Buy it at Walmart. It is much, much cheaper there. About $3.50 at our store.

Yes, Walmart has it much cheaper than my regular grocery store. But my regular grocery store (Giant/Martins) also carries their own generic brand which is somewhat cheaper than the name brand. Take a look at the generics.
