30DS and Couch-to-5K???

Sigh.
I really want to do the 30DS, but I don't feel like I can do it at the same time I am doing the C25K plan. I know when I did one day of 30DS it kicked my *kitten* and the next day when I did my C25K it sucked big time because my muscles were so sore. Doing them both on the same day seems like it would suck even more! And I'm not sure I'd have time to fit both in anyway (I realize that's just an excuse, but I already get up at 4:30am to run at the gym before working a 10 hour day).
I was thinking of waiting until I finished C25K to start the 30DS, but since that is every day, I'm afraid of losing any gains I made with my running if I don't keep that included as well somehow. Any advice from folks who have done both? Or folks who are doing 30DS and still incorporating some other exercises?

I started C25K after I did 30DS, but I did do it at the same time as I was doing Ripped in 30. You can do it - the soreness will get a lot better. Just run 3 days a week and do 30DS 3 days. Most of the soreness is just right at the beginning.0

Ohhhhhh. I thought you were supposed to basically do 30DS every day for the 30 days, with maybe one break a week. If it's only a few days then I suppose I could push past the soreness and just take turns on them...I started C25K after I did 30DS, but I did do it at the same time as I was doing Ripped in 30. I did them both at the same time. The soreness does get a little better after a few days. I thought the best part about doing both on the same day was having more exercise calories to eat back and I ate every last one. (I was eating 1200 then)
My goal was 30DS for 30 days straight. It was tough but it kept me motivated. I would do that before work and then run after work. Really it's a total of about 45 or 50 minutes for both.
I think the suggestion to do 3 days a week for each would be good if doing both in the same day is too much.0 -
I'm doing them both at the moment - almost finished both in fact, but will be continuing running and probably cycling through 30ds again since this time I did a lot of the beginner variations so there is room for improvement.
I run outside and just set off from home which saves time traveling to the gym. I do the running in the morning while hubby gets the baby up and dressed, and the 30ds in the evening when the baby is in bed.
There was soreness the first few days of the shred but very little since then. I do 30ds 4-5 days a week, depending on my schedule, and run 3x per week. I try to have an hour long walk at least twice a week. I have one day of total rest, usually right before I up my running time. It works for me. Maybe three times I've started on a workout and known right away that my body was too exhausted, so I just cut my workout short and took care of myself. It's not the end of the world and I've not had any negative effects on my progress.0
