weight loss created fine lines

I'm 29 and always have looked much younger then i am. I was 173 a year ago and i'm 146 now. I recently noticed fine lines on my face and as the weeks have gone by they are progressing at an alarming rate. I'm not at my weight loss goal and i'm going to continue to lose, however I have to do something about the fine line. I make it a point to try to eat healthy and natural. I also try not put many toxins in my body. what can I do.

How about seeing an excellent dermatologist--now? One who can work with you as you lose weight ---rather than waiting until your goal weight has completed. That's what I plan to do--and I AM older.

It may not be as alarming as you think. Derms can suggest procedures like face peels---or creams--etc.
Shop around--be sure to ask---if the derm has experience and supporting photos with specialization in assistance facial elasticity and lines during a major weight-loss.

    And drink your water!

Unfortunately it's also a symptom of losing weight. When your face is a little plump, those lines are less noticable. Best things for your skin are to eat healthy and stay hydrated. Use a good eye cream and moisturizer (I like Origins and Arbonne), and be gentle with your skin.

Coconut oil and stay hydrated, but a lot of it is genetic. I developed a lot fewer lines than I expected and as a result was able to change my goal weight several times because the "lines" weren't as bad as I expected. But I have always been told I look younger than I am, and my parents were told the same, even tho my father smoked for 40 years.

If you drink or smoke, they will be more pronounced.

yep, use a good moisturizer according to your skin type. For instance, you don't want to get any acne worsen by putting oily moisturizers when you have oily skin or put a cream that's not effective enough for your dry skin
  • I started using coconut oil 2 days ago. I don't smoke or drink. I'll keep going with the coconut oil. my folks both look about 10 years younger then they are my dad was a smoker also. I'm hoping since I have all that in my favor that my skin will become firmer in time. But never having any lines before and now having them is way discouraging.
  • Beautiful, natural looking results can be achieved with these treatments when your doctor has a thorough knowledge of the muscles of the face, and an artistic eye to create balance in your face. There is an art to BOTOX treatments – they need to be placed in the correct muscle, in the right place, at an appropriate dose. Your treatment will be tailored to your face, and lower doses are often used initially, to ensure the results look natural.

Water, water, water! And sunscreen, the rest is mostly genetics.
