NASM or ACE

I'm trying to decide which PT cert. is better NASM or ACE. Any thoughts?

I'm ACE certified. Both organizations are accredited and very reputable organizations. I believe that NASM's certification test is slightly more difficult than ACE but I think that's the only difference. I went with ACE because my trainer who was my mentor was ACE Certified.

I've been NASM certified personal trainer since 2001 and I went with it because it's focused on functional fitness and is highly respected. ACE is also a very good program and recently has changed their program for personal trainers so that it is more like NASM. At the time I became certified ACE was a home study program with a proctored exam (I'm also an ACE certified group fitness instructor), but NASM had a hands on certification process that afforded more application of the training.

Either one is good, but I'm biased toward the NASM program.
