Okay subject says it all ...

Want to start increasing my strength training but also keep my cardio going also. Don't have a set schedule for it. Do lifting 2 days a week but I know I need to increase it. I do Zumba Mon and Wed also swim laps anywhere from 3-5 days a week. Also do the Arc trainer at least 5 days a week doing 10 min at a time then break for a few mins and then go back again try and do this 3x. Starting to add the treadmill in slowly with adding speed do to having no so great knees. Here is current picture of me.

First let me congratulate you on your hard work !! Cardio is great for you to you 5-6 days a week and the swimming and Zumba ( love zumba) can also be considered your cardio day. I think you should do the strength training 3-4 days a week if you can. You will drop weight as well as start to tone up more. In my experience i have found that too much cardio and not enough strength makes you flabby . Since i have started sticking to 3-4 days strength and at least 5 days of cardio ( 30 mins to and hour) i have consistently lost 2- 2.5 lbs a week. Plus really making changes to what i am eating. Good luck

Thank you the Zumba is really fun and I am doing it in the pool. (Aqua Zumba) The pictures are year apart today is one year since my the top one has been taken. I am going to bump up my strength training to about 4 days a week and also mess around with my cardio still stay 5 days a week but maybe one day just swimming and other arc and treadmill and so on so forth. I hope that will help with my muscle tone and weight loss
