Hawaiian butterfish/Escolar = Uh oh?

So... My husband went to this great seafood store for the first time today and the person there talked him into buying this. However, the guy also said not to eat any more than six ounces or "it can cause some serious intestinal distress." Remember Olestra? Apparently you eat enough of this fish and you can get the same result. However, it really is a beautiful whitefish, great texture and grilled up nicely. I only ate about 2-3 ounces because frankly, I'm SCARED! Has anyone else ever tried this? Any distress over it?

Have had butterfish also at a restaurant, yummy, and had no issues. Very similar in texture to Chilean Sea Bass! I'd just enjoy it0
