Breakfast being the largest

I heard that breakfast is suppose to be the largest meal and dinner the smallest. Is this true? Also, are you really suppose to eat 5 small meals? What's the lattest you should eat?

Nope, none of that matters at all. Meal timing is irrelevant to nutrition. Just do what works for you.

agreed, it's whatever works best for you. I run 6+ miles every morning, so I can't imagine not having a huge breakfast after that, but then I hate having a ton of food at dinner because I sleep 3 hours after I eat, usually. So that's what works for me-- but then I am sure there are a ton of people who can't stomach a big breakfast because they aren't active in the morning.

A calorie is a calorie, regardless of the time it's eaten. However, I tend to think that big breakfasts keep you from overeating the rest of the day. But I think that everyone has a different metabolic rate, eat different things, are active at different times...etc. That'll all factor into it I suppose.
