Hi everybody,
This is my first official post and almost 2 years ago I lost 40 lbs through diet and exercise but in the last six have eaten myself back up almost 15 lbs. I know that the stress in my life is a big source of this and my biggest hurdle is having accountability. I can drink all my water, diet and exercise but without support, I will always stop moving forward and slowly slide back into old habits. I am really looking for a few friends or group where I can post daily and if I don't, have someone checking in to help keep me positive and on goal. It seems silly but if I know I have someone or several someones rooting for me I know it will help me stay motivated and positive, even when the scale isn't moving as fast as I want it too.
I am also a great motivator and would love to "cheer" others to better health and wellness:)

Hi, Jen:) Good for you for not letting your weight creep all the way back up before deciding to do something about it! I lost over 60 lbs for the first time in my early 20's and withing a few years, gained it all back. I went on to repeat the process several more times over my adult life. This last time I gained way more than ever before. It took a couple years before I could work up the resolve to do something about it. I finally decided that I had to make a genuine lifestyle change, not just go on a diet, get to a good weight for me, then slip right back I to my old eating habits. I am 49, and I started my new, healthy lifestyle in August. I am hoping to be somewhere near my goal weight by the time I turn 50 in April....the best birthday gift I could ever give myself and my family. 31 & 1/2 pounds down and I already feel SO much better (I have another 35 lbs or so to go)! My new friends on MFP have been a big part of my success thus far. It's wonderful to have others that Re going thru the sane kinds of things you are and understand the struggles and applaud the successes. I also get great joy out of being a small part of encouraging others along their journey. You can do this!0
