Coconut water?

I use coconut water in my green smoothies, but I'm curious what people think about it. I know juice is essentially sugar water so I avoid it, but I think (hope) coconut water isn't just empty calories. Thoughts?

From what I understand, coconut water is a really good source of potassium. Get the natural kind with no added sugar.0

I tastes kinda soapy, but I guess if you like that flavour then go for it...0

i love it and would drink it all the time, but typically use it as an extra hydration boost after a particularly sweaty workout. the potassium is great because you lose a lot of it when you sweat, so the coconut water helps replace it. so it's not purely empty calories, but unless you've got reason to replenish your potassium, it is about 60 cals a serving that might be ingested without your body actually needing it.0

I used to love it until I researched how not great it is for you. It's loaded with sugar which doesnt end up evening out the nutrients you get. You're better off doing fresh juicing if possible!0
