NSV - Warm Boots

It's starting to get snowy, wet, and cold here in Ontario, Canada but my feet and heart are warm with an NSV today!
I went to the shoe store to buy some boots. Now, 90+ pounds ago, I always opted for the practical, super-easy-to-get-on-and-off ankle height boots - mostly because bending over proved very difficult and NOTHING would go around my heavy calves.
BUT TODAY.. OH I LOVED TODAY!
I had my choice of several toasty warm, good, SYLISH boots with warm pile on the inside and they come up my calf! and they ZIP UP! with my skinny leg jeans INSIDE like they are supposed to!
I don't know if anyone out there understands this, but, oh my.. I almost cried tears of joy! Somehow, for the first time I kind of feel 'normal (my size really did a psychological trip on me, I know). Being overweight is hard.. working at this is hard too, but a better hard.. so worth it. I'd rather do this everyday and be able to wear my boots, and my skinny leg jeans than eat any treat that might tempt me.

I soooo understand where you're coming from. This is one of my motivators . . . . being able to buy boots for winter.

WOW! You lost almost 100 pounds????? Yikes! Oh, I do know how you feel with your hot new boots with the skinny jeans INSIDE! Ive been told that nothing tastes as good as how feeling fit feels. Blessings to you and you family!
