just wanted to ask....i have been not lifting for close to 6 weeks now....i pulled a muscle in my back and the dr said no heavy lifting for six weeks so to avoid hurting myself worse i have listening. just doing light handweight lifting. Just wondering have any of you had a period like this....did you experience any setbacks?

Yes and definately. It will be a bit aggravating to get back into it but after a few weeks hopefully all will be normal.0

It's always better to wait until you are fully healed before returning to weight lifting. The last thing you want to do is aggravate an old injury and be out another 6-8 weeks.
The weight room will still be there when you return.0 -
let me urge you to take it easy for the first few trips back to the gym. I would say at least 3-4 trips before getting back to the weight you were used to, and that assumes you are fully recovered from the initial injury.0

Oh God, yes! We all get injuries from time to time. It comes with the territory. You'll be right and you'll be back.0
