It's been said before (which made me happy!) but to me, it doesn't feel like Christmas until the first time I've watched (and sung along to, natch) A Muppet's Christmas Carol.

"Come in, and know me better man!"

    Bad Santa

Fred Clause is also good, Home Alone (1st one, not all the awful remakes) is always a classic !

Love Actually is now my favorite Christmas movie.
That's just one of my favorite movies in general. No matter what the time of year.
  • here are some great Christmas movies that I love: White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon), Frost the snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is coming to Town, Die Hard, Gremlins, Christmas Vacation (Chevy Chase), Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life, Elf... There are tons more of course but those are some of the classics that i really enjoy. :)

    Angels in America (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0318997/)

I watch it every year. It's 6 hours long, so brace yourself. It takes place in the mid-80s in NYC. The principal character is a man infected with AIDS who is visited by an Angel (Emma Thompson) who blames humans for chasing God away from heaven. It's a really good "thinking" movie. It's broken up into 1-hour chapters, so you have plenty of opportunity to take breaks.

    It also stars:
    Meryl Streep
    Al Pacino
    James Cromwell (Babe)
    Mary-Louise Parker
