I think I pulled a muscle...

I think I pulled a muscle in my left leg. When I walk, I can't extend my leg all the way - so I'm walking with a bent knee (if that makes sense). I can't straighten my leg all the way without forcing it - and in turn it hurting.
It feels tight and extremely sore. It hurts to cross that leg over my other one (probably from the pressure it puts on the muscle).
Does this sound like a pulled muscle to anyone...? I've never had one before.
What can I do to relieve the pain/soreness and help it heal?
Also, how long does it usually take to heal a pulled muscle...?

In my experience, the pain from a pulled muscle is really sharp, like a point, and it flares with the use of the muscle. I have usually been able to feel the moment when I pulled a muscle - as opposed to a strain or a sore muscle, which seems to accumulate after activity. I can usually pinpoint an event (a fall, a particular move, etc.) when I felt the muscle "pull" and the pain followed very quickly.
Again, this is my experience... it took about 7-10 days of rest to heal.0 -

I'm pretty sure I probably did this on Saturday when I was at the gym. But it didn't bother me on Saturday and it didn't bother my on Sunday either (which I did not workout at all on Sunday). But I woke up this morning and it was very sore... and it's been getting worse throughout the day.0 -

If you pulled a muscle you would of felt it immediately.. like drop the weights in pain feeling.. If it was a new move or new routine your doing you may have over lifted and your just extremely sore... I would take a few days off but if its not a sharp pain but just a general discomfort its probably just sore.0 -

I had a very similar type of pain in my leg, I went to see a sports therapist for a deep tissue massage, it was agony at the time but that was because the muscle had cramped so tight. Once it was over it felt like a miracle cure. He reccomended keeping it warm and doing light exercises for a week until I was 100% better. The massage made all the difference, I'd have been limping for weeks without it. Hope you feel better soon x0

If your gym has those foam roller things...try stretching and rolling it out on there....
I had a running injury a few weeks back and that helped a lot. Take it easy for at least a day or two....0
