On the food diary, the goal to be attained is at least 100. Can anyone explain whar that means in terms of actual milligrams of calcium one needs to ingest on a daily basis. I know for older women like me, we need 1,500 mg. to ward off osteoporosis. Does anyone know for sure how to document this in that 100 figure?

It represents 100% of the recommended FDA intake for a standard 2,000 calorie diet (same as what is on most packaging labels).
This equates to 1,000 mg calcium per day. You can change this in your MFP goals to 150, which would equate to your minimum 1,500 mg per day recommendation.

The 100% you see on labels (or in the food diary) is 1000mg.0

Like PregosaurasRex said, change your Goals to be 150% of Calcium, if you want it to be 1500mg daily (that's what I did, too.)
You can do this by going to MY HOME> Goals> Change Goals> Custom

I don't think there is any reference to this on MFP...and I don't know if MFP updates their database to match any new government recommendations or not. That would be a question for "Contact Us" - at the bottom of this page. I just researched my own needs.
