I have looked everywhere for a general idea of calories burned during a kettlebell workout. My Danskin Kettlebell  came with Gin Miller's dvd and I sweat my *kitten* off ! I got a cheapy HRM :ohwell: and It is accurate with beats per minute but I cant believe I burned 696 cal with a 54 minute workout. :noway: I know from reading other posts on here that heart rate doesn't necessarily equate to calorie expenditure. I just bought the thing out of curiosity. :indifferent: Anyone else workout with kettlebells? Have any idea of cal burned?

I believe that you can burn that many calories in 54 minutes, when I do my cardio kickboxing class for 50 minutes I sometimes burn almost 800!!

I just bought this same thing and on the website it says this: "Calories Burned?
This workout is dynamic strength training that works many muscle groups all at once and also provides a cardio benefit when using the major muscles of the lower body. We use a 10kcal per minute to estimate the calories burned as a general guideline, but results will vary depending on how hard you work and the amount of weight you are using."

    Hope that helps!

You can easily burn that many calories doing a Kettlebell workout! Each time you pick up that Kettlebell you are working your whole body!
Also doing something like Insanity I can burn around 600 calories in the 45 minutes or so! So I would bet your HRM is right if it is taking your HR all the time. My problem is mine stops working so I don't trust is anymore but of course that makes my calorie burn way lower!
