Hi everyone!
I have a theoretical question:
Is it possible to gain 130 lbs of muscles...?
I'm female 5'3'' and about 145lbs. Today we were fooling around with one of my best friends, he's about 275 lbs. He said something like I have to eat more, so I will be the same weight as him. I told him noooo way... he then said, you just have to eat more of all that protein you eat and do more of your Kettlebell training and then it's all muscles you gain...
He was sure, that this should be possible... I can't believe that. I mean, I would never want to do that. But would it theoretically be possible for a woman to bulk up to 275 pounds without getting fat, but muscular. And without drugs?!?

Any ideas? Experiences? Thanks for sharing!

Not in a million years possible without drugs.

Probably not even in a million years with drugs.

It's only possible with a burst of gamma radiation. Ask Dr. Bruce Banner about it.

No, it would be pretty much impossible for either sex to gain that much muscle. You can gain five, maybe ten pounds over a period of time -- if you also lose the same amount of fat. But the average woman has around 35% body fat and 80 to 90 percent muscle. As we get older, that muscle mass decreases unless we lift weights.

I suggest you get your body fat professional measured or buy Tanita scales to find your approximate body composition and then monitor it. It's not exact. Nothing is. But at least you'll know more about your body composition than most folks know about theirs.

Unless you go to 3 to 10 percent body fat, you'll not gain 130 lbs of muscle.

With proper diet and exercise one can gain a lot more than 5 or 10 lbs of muscle... I'm also curious as to how your percentages work out...

To the OP ... No, you cannot gain that much muscle.

why does "going to 3 - 10% bodyfat" enable you to gain 130lbs muscle? Eh? :noway:

(and they think I've got some weird ideas)
