Should I Increase PROTEIN?

I am set to take in 160 of protein a day - i am lucky if I hit 100! My overall rates are
carbs - 48% or more/week
Protein - 22%-25% per week
Fat - 22%-25% per week
I have been stuck at a plateau for about 3 months now and just wondering if increasing my protein would help with this? I have also increased my calories from 1400/day to 1600/day.

A lot of people recommend a minimum of 1 gram per pound of lean body weight. Going over is fine but increasing it by large amounts beyond what is needed for muscle retention, repair or building will just be converted to energy and used or stored depending on calorie intake vs consumption.0

Im about 218lbs right now...so according to what you are saying - i am way off with protein? I am wanting to increase my protein, and it sounds like there is no way it can really set me back?0
