You must have some serious gunk in your trunk to have been working on this idea for 4 years.

OP, back when I was into cleanses and herbal remedies for weight loss - a.k.a., when I was still bulimic and doing lots of stupid *kitten* to try to lose weight - I had a series of three done over a period of six months. I would NEVER do that again. EVER. Why? It was painful and unnecessary. If I hadn't paid for a "three treatment" deal I wouldn't have done the 2nd or 3rd one. But I was convinced that it would be better to have more than one treatment. I was really, really wrong. I hope this helps you make your decision.

Ive considered one for chronic GI issues...I'd also like some opinions from those who have done it. Just replying "NO" isn't informative....

I have Crohn's Disease and the answer is NO! If you have chronic GI issues as you say, then you already know the hell of being chained to a bathroom when you are sick. This will only lead to more inflammation and pain. A healthy diet high in fibre (as you can tolerate), tons of water and regular exercise is all that you need. I have battled for over 15 years and I have taken every med known and I am currently in remission and happily med free by following the above. There is no quick fix or easy answer, but I would urge you to reconsider even the thought of this.

I did it once. Wouldn't be against doing it again.

Just because I asked if anyone has ever done one does not mean I have not researched. I've actually been looking into for about 4 years now. I know people who have done it. Just curious for more opinions NOT necessarily info.

Last I checked forums were about opinions, too.

    Thanks though!

My feedback- they are excellent for the health. If everyone's colon worked well on its own, there would be no IBS, or Colon cancers. This treatment especially when done by the right professional can and is very spa like and relaxing. I walk out of there and I am 5 lbs lighter- seriously. My skin will clear up and severe stress goes away. A messed up colon from a bad lifestyle can't just be fixed (without surgery) but these do help tremendously. I get them every 6 months- and I see a world of difference, especially in my appearance, my skin, and my energy.

Isn't that the sales pitch used by krokodil dealers? :-D

Unless you have serious bowel issues, I'd stay away. If you have a healthy bowel, then flushing out the good bacteria makes about as much sense as knocking out your teeth. Actually, knocking out your teeth doesn't risk death - you just have to drink your food from now on. Having a pipe squirt up your backside by a "professional" can result in bowel perforation which can lead to death. Mind you, death is a good way of losing weight.

Yes, but not for cleansing. I do it for the other reason.

If you have spent 4 years researching, i would gather you probably have already established a pretty good opinion on your own.

    Oh, I've never done it.

I just think that, until you've actually tried exactly what the OP is asking about and have the exact same situation as the OP, you shouldn't share your opinion about the question.

well if your opinion is right..then this thread should have been a lot shorter :p Because I doubt most of us have even tried it, and/or have had the *EXACT* same situation as the OP.

Personally, I just run my *kitten* through the car wash when I fuel up my car.

I kid. But no, I would not do it. There was an episode of "Penn and Teller: Bull****!" that talked all about that.
