sick - healthy foods to overcome sickness?

i have been coughing so heavily for 2 months now. i have been to the doctor twice and did a chest xray today. the xray tech, though not supposed to say something, said i look pretty clear. i am going to get tested for asthma and allergies. but in the meantime i have been trying to eat really healthy.

with exception to what is logged in my journal for the past two days, so please don't judge. yesterday i did bootcamp and today i just vegged out and slept all day and didn't really feel like being healthy.

things i have increased:
honey
cinnamon
peppers
tomatoes
variety of lettuces
yogurt
berries, pineapple, apples, plums, pears
celery
nuts

i eat really healthy...and a variety of food. am i missing anything that helps individuals boost their immunity? i drink a lot of water also, with lemon. i just can't deal with this anymore. any advice on home remedies is welcome.

edit: i also take a multivitamin and an omega 3 on a daily basis
